Aid to finance projects of industrial research and experimental development in strategic sectors and promoting a public-private partnership in research and technological development and innovation, in such a way that they exert an effect tractor on the economy of the Basque country, favouring the involvement of SMEs and access to the Horizon 2020 programme.
Eligible projects
Projects of industrial research and experimental development of a strategic nature referred to in the Areas of strategic action framed in the politics of science, The Basque Government on scientific research and technology of the European Union policies and developed by the companies. R&D activities corresponding to projects of industrial research and experimental development of strategic character in the scientific-technological strategic action Areas will be funded, and which must be geared to creating new knowledge useful to obtain new or improved products, processes or services, as well as to integrate new technologies of strategic nature, create new patents and new companies of technological base (Ntbcs). And all this, aimed at the creation of employment and to diversify the Basque business, as well as to improve business competitiveness.
The Areas of performance scientific-technological strategic for these eligible projects, without prejudice to other possible of special interest, will be framed within the priorities established in the Plan for science, technology and innovation Euskadi 2020 strategy of intelligent specialization (RIS3) which are the following: to) energy. (b) advanced manufacturing. (c) bio-science-health.
To make a project subject of grant must submit a minimum of four million euros, total budget and a maximum duration of three years, that is, they may include exercises 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Projects will be developed in cooperation formed by consortia of companies, which will be constituted, at least by 3 companies, and will involve collaboration among them and, at the same time, collaboration with agents of the Basque network of science, technology and innovation in quality of outsourced.

To ensure the incentive effect of the aid, only projects that are initiated subsequent to the date of filing of the request for assistance from the requesting entity shall benefit from the same.
The economic resources are 28.000.000 euros.
