Aimed at companies with products or innovative technology services that, while interested in testing the behavior of them in real environments, to use tax benefits set out in article 5(2) of the municipal bylaw regulating rates for private use or special use of the public property.
Requirements of the company to benefit from the program
- Have the status of company: «shall be considered business any entity, regardless of its legal form, which exercises an economic activity. In particular, will be considered business entities engaged in a craft or other activities to individual or family title, the societies of people and associations engaged in an economic activity on a regular basis».
- Develop a legal, lawful, ethical activity.
- Have a self-developed technology, whose behavior in a real environment want to prove through a demonstration project.
- That the services or products that you want to include in the city laboratory are public or social interest and that they have no environmental impact or, preferably, contribute to environmental improvement.
Rights and obligations of the participating companies
The companies that develop a demonstration project in the framework of «Vitoria-Gasteiz city laboratory» have right to:
- Make use of the space that will win them, in the term that has been determined to carry out his demonstration project.
- The confidentiality of the information that may be sensitive about their technological development.
- City Hall advertising the company and its technological development, using the channels are there for them (website, newsletter, press…), as well as who can visit the demonstration project delegations who are visiting in the city, provided that the purpose of the visit has to do with the theme of the project.
The companies that develop a demonstration project in the framework of «Vitoria-Gasteiz city laboratory» have the obligation to:
- Provide information how much documentation you are required by the Town Hall of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
- Respecting the location and times marked by the Town Hall of Vitoria-Gasteiz for the development of the demonstration project.
- Maintain in perfect condition the space that has been awarded them to develop its demonstration project.
- Keep the status of public utility and null or positive environmental impact of the demonstration project during all the period its location in the public space of the city.
- Assume costs relating to transport, installation, disassembly, etc.
- Allow the publication of its technological development at the city laboratory website.
- Insurance of civil liability, to deal with possible damage that may occur during the development of the demonstration project in the framework of «Vitoria-Gasteiz city laboratory».
- Subjected to performances by checking of the Town Hall.
- Notify the City Council modification of any circumstance that would have been taken into account for the approval of the project.
