In Spain there are numerous companies that currently are dedicated to innovation sector. These initiatives are focused primarily on the financial component.
CDTI aid. The Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) promotes innovation and technological development of Spanish companies to do so, performs a series of grants that seek to improve the technological level of Spanish SMEs through technical-evaluation economic and financing.
Red PIDI. This initiative seeks to provide information and advice to companies and entrepreneurs on public support for R & D of any administrative level most suited to their needs.
FOND-ICO Infrastructure Fund. This fund finances companies that develop infrastructure projects in transportation, energy and environment. Which can be developed both in Spain and abroad.
JEREMIE Fund. This is a European initiative developed by the European Commission and the European Fund Investors. It aims to promote the use of financial instruments to improve SMEs’ access to credit. Thus, it allows use of structural funds to invest in revolving instruments.
Emprendetur program I + D + I. This project aims to support research and development applied to products of the tourism sector. To do this, it helps companies to innovative developments to improve their tourism products.
ICO Technological Innovation Fund. This financing is aimed at innovative companies carrying out productive investment in the country. The initiative is co-financed by the ERDF and the ICO.
Innovation Hotline. This financial instrument is based on supporting business projects involving the incorporation and adaptation of new technologies at the sectoral level. They also have to provide a competitive advantage for the company.
Global Innovation line. This initiative is to finance in innovation and incorporation of innovative technology for the growth and internationalization of SMEs.
Research and Development projects. The last of the line is intended for financing business projects of applied nature. Specifically, these must aim at the creation and significant improvement of a product or service.
