Granting of subsidies for the performance of energy audits, implementation of management systems and energy saving and efficiency projects in companies in the industry and services sector.
The minimum investment for the action to be eligible must be 10,000 euros per action, except in the case of energy audits, whose minimum investment will be 3,000 euros.
- Energy audits.
The performance of energy audits that comprehensively analyze the production process of the company’s work center and that proposes measures to reduce energy consumption will be eligible.
- Implementation of certified management systems.
The implementation of certified energy management systems in accordance with ISO 50.001 per accredited entity during the justification period will be eligible.
- Energy saving and efficiency projects.
The actions listed below can be subsidized:
1st. Investments in replacement or improvement of energy-consuming equipment and facilities of the productive process of the industrial sector, as well as of the auxiliary systems necessary for its operation, by equipment and facilities that use high efficiency technology or the best available technology. The minimum energy savings required to be eligible must be 5% compared to the initial consumption.
2nd. The renovation or improvement of equipment for existing heat and cold production facilities designed to meet the demand for well-being and hygiene of people, by others with high energy efficiency, selected based on greater energy efficiency. The minimum energy savings required to be eligible must be 20% compared to the initial consumption.
3rd. The improvement of the energy efficiency of the existing lighting installations that carry an annual reduction of at least 40% compared to the initial consumption in lighting, guaranteeing adequate lighting comfort to the task to be performed.
4th. New installations of cogeneration and generation and consumption of biogas that contribute to increase the energy efficiency of the company. The installation is considered to contribute to increasing the energy efficiency of the company when the energy generated is consumed in its entirety in the associated work center. The energy savings achieved must be greater than 20% compared to the initial consumption of the process.
5th. Any other action, not contemplated in the previous sections, that implies a minimum energy saving of 20% with respect to the initial consumption.
6th. To contribute to the verification of the energy results obtained, the implementation of accounting, monitoring and telemanagement measures for energy consumption associated with savings actions for which assistance is requested and even the implementation of advanced data processing systems will be eligible and artificial intelligence applied to the optimization of the energy consumption of the company with regard to the analysis of the energy consumption of the subsidized actions.
Amount of help.
The amount of the subsidy will be 35% of the eligible cost of the action. The intensity of the aid will increase by 15% in the case of aid granted to small businesses and 10% in the case of medium-sized companies.
In general, a maximum aid per project of 100,000 euros is established.
The maximum aid per project may be increased up to 1,000,000 euros in those actions that at the request stage justify the achievement of high levels of energy savings.
