Bilateral R&D Projects in Advanced Materials between Spain-China

The first Spain-China Joint Call is opened within the framework of the China-China CHINEKA Bilateral Program for Technological Cooperation in Advanced Materials for the presentation of Technological Cooperation Proposals

The Center for Industrial Technological Development, E.P.E. (CDTI), an entity belonging to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, and the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology (DIC MOST) have reached an agreement with the objective of publishing the first Joint Call for the presentation of proposals of technological cooperation in the area of ​​Advanced Materials.

Characteristics of the projects to present

The project must be oriented towards the development or significant improvement of an innovative product, process or service with market prospects.

You must have at least the participation of a Spanish company and a Chinese entity:

Both companies and other organizations (Universities, Research Centers) can participate from China.

At least one company from Spain has to participate, which, optionally, can go in collaboration with other research organizations (Universities, IPOs and Innovation and Technology Centers) that can be subcontracted in the budget or as members of the self-financing consortium .

The proposal must be balanced, both in technical and financial resources, between the parties and the results should be a benefit for them (no country or member of the consortium can have more than 70% budget).

Amount of the aid

The TNR is calculated on a maximum support of 75% of the total budget approved by the Board of Directors.

TNR: Up to 33%.


Opening of the call: October 28, 2019.

Deadline for submitting applications: November 27, 2019.

In this period, the corresponding applications for the collaborative project must be submitted, in parallel, both in MOST, Chinese partners and in the CDTI, Spanish partners, complying with the requirements and documentation requested by each entity.
