ICT and Information Societies

The establishment of the regulatory bases of the granting of aid for projects is the subject of this order in the field of technologies of information and communication (technology ICT) and the information society within the framework of the strategic action on economy and Digital society, within the State of scientific and technical research and innovation 2013-2016 Plan.

Impulse technology:

Subsidies under this subprogramme are directed to the promotion of technologies with low level of maturity and high potential for transformation of the ICT sector through the implementation of projects of high technological risk.

(a) eligible for aid projects of industrial research and experimental development stipulated in the themes defined in annex IV and referred to in article 4 of the order which establishes the regulatory bases of these grants.

(b) may receive grants for industrial research and experimental development projects that have obtained accreditation for membership in any of the following cluster TIC of EUREKA: CATRENE, CELTIC, ITEA2 and EURIPIDES, included in any of the areas referred to in article 4 of the order which establishes the regulatory bases of these grants.

 Major projects:

Aid under this subprogramme are directed to encourage putting up large projects with high technology and high value potential of traction and socio-economic impact.

(a) may receive grants for industrial research and experimental development projects based on technologies that are stipulated in the industries of the future thematic priority defined in annex IV.

(b) may receive aid projects that have obtained accreditation from the ICT EUREKA cluster membership.

Modalities of participation.

(a) projects must be made in the individual category, with the conditions indicated in the order which establishes the regulatory bases of these grants.

(b) projects must have subcontracting for a sum amounting to at least 25 per cent of the submitted budget.

 Thematic priorities

  • Industries of the future:

-Components and systems.

-Internet of the future.

-Cloud Computing solutions.

-Solutions for mass treatment of data.

-High Performance Computing (Super computer).

-Robots and autonomous systems.

-Smart cities.

-Internet of things.

  • Cyber Security and digital trust.
  • Health and well-being.
  • Agri-food and environmental management, energy efficiency and transportation and logistics.
  • Digital content.

Lead time: competitive and incentive effect.

(a) for projects that have obtained the accreditation of its belonging to any of the cluster TIC of EUREKA, whose execution period may be extended until 31 December 2018, and included.

(b) for projects of industrial research and experimental development referred to in paragraph 1 of the fourth paragraph of this resolution, whose lead time can be extended up to 31 December 2017 inclusive.

 Amount of aid:

The total maximum amount supports convened for the years 2015 and 2016 by subprogramme is as follows:

a) subprogramme «Impulse technology»: 35.000.000 EUR 105.000.000 euros in loans and grants.

b) subprogramme ‘Major projects’: 15.000.000 euros in subsidies and 45,000,000 euros in loans.

The maximum total value of the grant may be increased, in each subprogramme, for an amount of 5,000,000 euros charged to the financial year of 2015.

The total maximum amount of aid called for the years 2015 and 2016 is 50,000,000 in grants and 150,000,000 euros in loans.
