WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL?
Reconciling better health and healthy aging with the need to develop sustainable health and care systems, as well as growth opportunities for industries related to health and care.
WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF THE CALL?
The scope of the call can range from prevention, diagnosis, stratified approaches, predictive toxicology, the development of novel and reoriented therapeutic approaches, including medical technologies and advanced therapies, cohorts and registry-based research, to the integration of systemic digital care and solutions for health care and better aging. Its goal is to translate new knowledge into innovative applications and accelerate the adoption and implementation on a large scale in different health and healthcare environments, making health and primary care systems and services more accessible, responsive and efficient in Europe and more there. To this end, the inclusion of private companies and other innovative agents in projects is encouraged.
The research areas that will be addressed in this priority will implement and provide evidence-based evidence to support the global and EU policies mentioned as “policy drivers in the Introduction”.
It is a call for competitive competition.
This call will be implemented through 5 main priorities:
Innovative health and care health
Infectious diseases and improvement of global health
Innovative health and care systems – Integration of care
Deciphering the role of the environment, including climate change, in health and well-being
WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS ARE YOU GOING DIRECTED?
Companies that want to access European funds, knowledge and collaboration opportunities through collaborative projects and that have a strategic interest in any of the priorities mentioned above.
MINIMUM POINT OF DEPARTURE AND THEMES
The projects submitted depending on the topic (topic) to which they are presented should start from:
Type of RIA action (Research and Innovation Actions): they must be based on a formulated technological concept (TRL2)
Type of action CSA (Coordination and Support Actions) any degree of technological development
The projects must fit into one of the following topics (topics):
SC1-BHC-01-2019: Understanding causative mechanisms in co- and multimorbidities (RIA;)
SC1-BHC-02-2019: Systems approaches for the discovery of combinatorial therapies for complex disorders (RIA)
SC1-BHC-03-2018: Exploiting research and development potential of the human microbiome for personalized prediction, prevention and treatment of disease (RIA)
SC1-BHC-04-2018: Rare Disease European Joint Program Cofund (COFUND – European Joint Program)
SC1-BHC-05-2018: International flagship collaboration with Canada for human data storage, integration and sharing to enable personalized medicine approaches (RIA)
SC1-HCO-01-2018-2019-2020: Actions in support of the International Consortium for Personalized Medicine (CSA)
SC1-HCO-02-2018: Data integration and data-driven in-silico models for enabling personalized medicine – a European standardization framework (CSA)
SC1-HCO-04-2018: ERA-NET to support the Joint Programming in Neurodegenerative Diseases strategic plan (JPND) (ERA-NET Cofund)
The financing depends on the type of action of each one of the themes:
Type of action RIA (Research and Innovation Actions): 100% of direct costs are subsidized to all partners plus 25% fixed rate of indirect costs.
Type of action CSA (Coordination and Support Actions): 100% of direct costs are subsidized to all partners plus 25% fixed rate of indirect costs.
CALENDAR OF APPLICATIONS IN 2018 and 2019 and ECONOMIC EQUIPMENT
